We
here at Servant Chat follow the teachings of various denominations. The
beliefs outlined below do not necessarily reflect the beliefs of our entire
staff, only the beliefs of the Core staff and founding members. We believe
there is but one God, creator of all things and the ruler of all he created.
His law supersedes all other laws created and enforced by man. We believe that the Son of God, Jesus, was born
of a virgin, lived his life teaching God's truth, died by crucifixion, was
buried, that on the third day he was raised from the dead, and that he now
sits at the right hand of God awaiting the day when he returns to reign with
his Church. We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the promised Messiah, and the
only way to eternal salvation. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all believers
in Christ and acts as the
guiding force in our daily lives. We believe that through the Holy Spirit, all
believers are granted certain gifts that enable us to carry out God's will for
our lives and to accomplish his plans and will. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God
and is inerrant in all that it teaches. We believe that the church is the Body of Christ and
includes all who believe in the redeeming power of the blood of Christ
regardless of the denomination they choose to follow. We believe that no one
denomination has exclusive knowledge of God's truth and that no denomination
is 100% correct in all it's teachings. We believe that true unity of believers and
full knowledge of the truth will only occur at the second coming of Christ. We believe that all human life has value. We believe
that our job is to reach out to all of mankind and attempt to lift each and
every person up to the love of God. We believe that, no matter how bad a
person may behave, there is always hope that they can be shown how to live a
better life. We believe that the only time we should give up hope in a person
becoming a better person is upon death. We believe that God is a loving God and that any word
or deed can be forgiven if we give that sin over to the Lord. We believe that
repentance, the turning away from living in sinful behavior, is the only way in
which we can truly be changed into the image of God. We believe that there can be no compromise on the basic
truths of Christ. We believe that there is no acceptable way to live in the
ways of the secular world without compromising the ways of God. We believe
that while we live in and interact with this world we are truly citizens of
the Kingdom of God. We believe that the
Bible provides full instructions as to how Christians are to behave within the
culture in which we live. We believe we are to show love and respect for all of
mankind, whether or not we consider them our enemies. We believe that only
through a loving and kind attitude can we reach those we're sent to teach. |
